Thiols abound! Omega Yeast now available
We just received a fresh shipment of liquid yeast direct from Omega Yeast, including 6 of their Thiolized® strains.
What are thiols? Those brewers who are adventurous with their dry-hopping may already be familiar with the biotransformation that occurs between yeast and different compounds from hops which results in some amazing fruity aromas and flavors. These aromas and flavors come from thiols, naturally occurring compounds that deliver bold fruity characteristics - pretty much any tropical fruit profile.
Omega's Thiolized® strains of yeast ramp up that biotransformation to capitalize on the strain's ability to develop thiols through the interaction between the yeast and malt.
TLDR - These yeast strains will develop and amplify bold tropical flavors and aromas in your brew.
